Also, if your log home floor plan includes an expansive front or back porch, you could choose to outfit your home with a rustic rocking chair.

There is also another side to this story. You could choose, rather, to go with the contemporary style of decorating versus the classic rustic look. This style might even be easier to shop for given the selection in the majority of stores out there. Just because you live in a log home, it doesn't mean that you are stuck decorating in this classic style. You could decorate your entire home in a more modern stainless steel finish. You might buy silver coffee tables and a more modern shaped couch. If your home plan is on the larger side, you might even decide to include a pool table. To make your home even more contemporary, you can add in your very own media center. It doesn't get more modern than having your very own movie theater.
With a log home you need to feel free to think outside the box. Instead of following along with the expectation that they are decorated in a rustic manner, you are able to go against the popular ideal and decorate however you choose. When it comes to decorating, you can choose whatever style you would like.
